Cycling Coaching
Ride stronger. Race smarter. Perform when it matters.
Cycling coaching isn’t just about following a plan.
It’s about understanding what you need to improve and applying the right training, at the right time, in a way that fits your life. That’s what I do.
At inSync Cycling, coaching is built around real riders with real constraints: work, family, racing goals and limited time. Whether you’re targeting your first race or aiming for national-level performance, the goal is the same:
Make you faster, more consistent and more confident on the bike.
What you can expect
A structured training plan built around your goals and schedule
Clear guidance on what to do — and why you’re doing it
Ongoing feedback and adjustment based on your progress
Data-driven coaching using TrainingPeaks + WKO5 analytics
Regular contact (usually weekly) to keep things on track
No guesswork. No overcomplication. Just effective coaching that works.
Coaching built around your level
I offer two coaching options depending on your goals and how much support you need:
Core Coaching
For riders who want structure, consistency, and steady progression
If you’re training regularly but want more direction, Core Coaching gives you a clear plan and the accountability to stick to it.
You’ll know what to do each week, how hard to push, and how to progress over time — without overthinking it.
Best suited to:
Riders who take their training seriously
Those preparing for major events such as Étape du Tour, Gran Fondos, or multi-day challenges
Athletes looking for structured, consistent progression
Riders aiming to perform at a higher level, whether that’s in events or personal goals
What’s included:
Personalised training plan via TrainingPeaks
Weekly review and adjustments
Ongoing messaging support
Simple, clear guidance without unnecessary complexity
Performance Coaching
For competitive riders targeting high-level results
Performance Coaching is for riders who are already racing — or preparing to and want to maximise their potential.
This is a more detailed, data-driven approach with deeper analysis, closer monitoring, and more frequent feedback.
We focus on the specifics that decide races:
Power profile development
Race demands and execution
Durability and repeatability
Tactical awareness and confidence
Best suited to:
Road, crit, cyclocross and gravel racers
Riders targeting regional or national-level events
Athletes looking to move up categories or perform consistently at a higher level
What’s included:
Fully personalised training plan
Advanced analysis using WKO5
Weekly calls (or similar contact)
Ongoing feedback and refinement
Race planning and performance review

Why inSync Cycling?
Coaching here is shaped by:
Experience working with riders competing in
National Circuit Series

Regional road, criterium, cyclocross and gravel racing
International endurance challenges
A strong understanding of racing demands in the UK

That last point matters more than most people realise: If your position isn’t optimal, it limits what you can achieve — no matter how good the training plan is.
